Painted by Rain
Painted by Rain is my debut artbook, created in collaboration with Monica Austin, a very talented design synergist. Painted by Rain’s tactile, accordion folded construction, photography and poetry create a multifaceted experience that is strikingly profound. It is deeply personal - diving into my struggles with addiction, miscarriage, parenting, and creativity bottled up inside. However personal, these struggles are not mine alone. Painted by Rain offers connection, inspiration and peace.
This artbook is 7” by 7” when folded, it unfolds to 13 1/2 feet long when fully open. The viewer can turn the pages like a normal book, or unfold it to see the whole fluid piece.
